SHAPE in Clay

from $4.00

The Skopelos collection draws direct inspiration from a Printmaking Residency I attended in Skopelos, Greece. Each pattern in this collection was created with Monoprints; a printmaking technique that produces one-of-a-kind prints. I painted each pattern on glass and then transferred them to paper.

The fact that so many vessels are in tact from as early as 1000 BCE, is a true testament to the strength of clay and to the ingenuity of the Greek craftspeople. There are over 100,000 painted vases on record and each vessel provides an understanding of the ancient greek way of life.
